Unlike food labels, data sheets have the advantage of being provided predominantly in Word format. In this way they are directly translatable, respecting the format and the bold and italic parts related to the allergens they contain. They are mainly composed of tables on two columns. The left column contains the table of contents of the topics covered which are: the name, ingredients contained, allergens, methods of use, information on storage and conservation, durability, average nutritional profile repeated at a predetermined quantity, chemical-physical parameters, microbiological data, information relating to alphatoxins and heavy metals, any ionizing treatments, presence of GMOs and characteristics of the packaging and packaging. The linguist, who is competent for the translation of food data sheets, must therefore be polyvalent. The variety of topics encountered ranges from legal, to chemical, medical, and gastronomic jargon. A real panoply of information that must be managed with the utmost accuracy to avoid inaccuracies that could compromise the quality of the information contained in the document.
